Interlude
I'm still here, just. Have been preparing to give a three hour talk tomorrow morning. Today was the first of two days of a workshop on AdS/CFT with just four speakers. I don't know what the first two said, as it was all Chinese to me. My talk 3(\pm 3) paths from AdS to QCD may or may not be pitched at a suitable level but whatever happens I'm sure to be exhausted afterwards. Will report when I've recovered.

Good luck with the talk Biscuit. If the audience aren't getting it, just show a wildlife documentary. That'll be educational AND fun!

The talk went fine, thanks. I may talk about it when I have more time, haha, but the audience asked lots of intelligent questions which, for me, is generally a good sign. I fear that I lost a fair number of the students though which is a pity but I can make some changes for next time.
