Maybe it's not so bad after all...

I spent a pretty crazy number of hours studying this weekend, hence the slightly snotty last post - I tend to do that when I'm overdoing it! Anyway, somehow it doesn't feel quite so hard when you get to study in wonderful parks in a medieval city. Of course I took my camera along too and to give you an idea of my surroundings as I sat there struggling with the past subjunctive I took this shot in the grounds of Parque de Bonaval

Happy Birthday Jon! Glad to see we haven't all been destroyed by the MHC, so I hope you celebrate in style.

Well, we'll have to wait for the massive hadron collider, but indeed we haven't, there wasn't and there isn't any risk of being swallowed, torn apart, strangeletised or spaghettified by it's smaller brother, the large hadron collider. Maybe the MHC will be a different story!

Look forward to catching up properly over Christmas and talking in person about the conversation which we were previously diving into :-)

Take care and chat soon, J x

Sorry, got a bit ahead of myself there. As if 27km is not massive enough eh?
Do we have to wait till Christmas to see you? blimey, aren't we all busy people now? Well let's schedule a whole day to debate, eat and drink.

P.S. What would it feel like to be spaghettified?

Yep, things are completely busy until Christmas - look forward to catching up then.

All the best,

Hola Jon!

Great pic there. And your last post wasn`t snotty at all. In fact, I intend to take Spanish classes from the 13th of October, and that post of yours has already given me an idea of what I should be expecting and how I should proceed with the learning of the language. Like I said before, I amd sure I`d be seeking your help time and again once I have started the classes. I have learnt plenty of physics from you, directly or indirectly, and I guess now it`s time for Spanish. :)

Take care

Hey there Shobig, good luck with the course - let me know how you get on! At some point I'd like to write more about physics here, but I've simply got out of the habit. I tend to spend a lot of time writing e-mails to answer people's individual physics questions, which I love doing, but usually don't post them here.
